Well, this is my first blog post. I didn't really want to start a craft blog because I am way out of my element. However, I decided to take a more active role in being more creative. I am so incredibly left brained. I don't think I even realized I had a more creative side until my older sister pushed me to exercise it. You have been forewarned... I have no idea what I'm doing!!
This summer has me so ready for fall! I don't know what is worse - the high temperatures or lack of rain. I'm ready for sweaters, chili, and running in the afternoon. I think that's why I keep making Halloween cards. This week I completed three challenges. Two were for the Peachy Keen August Release, and the other was for the regular Peachy Keen Challenge.

I had a hard time deciding what I was going to do, but a good friend of mine has an upcoming birthday. I decided to make her a card.
Item's Used:
MCT All Around Birthday Time Sentiment
Create-a-Critter Cricut Cartridge for Dog
Peachy Keen Happy Go Lucky Dog Face Assortment
Embossing Folder
Brown & Red Gelly Roll Pens
The next challenge I participated in was a little more difficult for me. I had to have a card with a funny fold, and I had to use three different patterned papers. This seemed like it would be a little more chaotic, but I think it turned out alright. If I had to do it all over, I would probably play with the spider colors a little more.
Items Used:
Lori Whitlock's 3D Swing Card Basic
Peachy Keen/Cottage Cutz Fuzzy Spider Die
Sizzix BigKick
Halloween Paper from Hobby Lobby
Black & White Twine

Lastly, I participated in a sketch challenge. I had delusions of grandeur of how this card might turn out. I decided to change the elaborate scene in my head to a simple ghost card. He turned out pretty cute thanks to the Peachy Keen face stamp I used.
Items used:
Halloween Ribbon from Hobby Lobby
Ghost from Simply Charmed Cricut Cartridge
Bat & Moon from Lettering Delights Spooky Soiree

This is my first full challenge to participate in, and I actually won the grand prize. How lucky does one need to be? I am thankful for everyone at Peachy Keen for the opportunity to particpate in their lovely challenges that push me to be a little more create. I am mostly thankful to my older sister, who has inspired me to push me beyond my limits. I can't wait to create more!
