Happy New Year!

Well, it's 2013, and this is my first post.  I've been crazy busy, and work is keeping me away for another month.  I had to make a couple of quick cards before I leave.  I'm always excited for the Peachy Keen Stamp of the Month release, and this month didn't disappoint.  For the January Release, I created a birthday card for a good friend.  The theme of this challenge was use something new.  I used new spellbinder dies.  I have recently discovered how wonderful these are for making quick cards.  I can't wait to buy more.  Here's my submission for the January challenge:
Items Used:
Cuddlebug Folders for embossing
Spellbinder Dies
Gelly Roll Pen for Stitching
Heart Buttons from JoAnn

For this week's Peachy Keen Challenge, I unfortunately didn't use any Peachy Keen stamps.  I couldn't figure out what I wanted to do, and I ran out of time.  Here it is:

Glitter is for LIFE!

I am so excited to post my card for this week's Peachy Keen Challenge because I think I have finally figured out how to use glitter. A few months ago, I found a glue stamp pad. I am new to this whole crafty thing, but I LOVE a little sparkle (let's face it A LOT of sparkle). I immediately purchased it, and thought it would be fantastic. I couldn't wait to take it home and test it out.  Unfortunately, the glitter did NOT stay on very well, but my card was too cute not to send. So, I glittered bombed someone, but I promised myself that I would not let that happen again.  I took to the internet to find a resolution. I tried a couple of different things and did not have success. Today, I stamped the Happy Halloween with my glue stamp pad, and sprinkled glitter on it.  I then sprayed it with a clear glossy acrylic spray paint that I I bought at Hobby Lobby, and let it dry. The glitter stuck! SUCCESS!  Now, if you could only tell from the photo...

A Very Peachy Weekend

Wow!  It's October.  I did not intend to be away from my blog this long. I squeezed in a little time this weekend (since it was extended) to do a little crafting. Last week was release week for the Peachy Keen Stamp of the Month. I look forward to this time each month. I participated in the two challenges for the October Release celebration, and I also made a card for Peachy Keen's regular monthly challenge.  I hope you enjoy!
